I was on a low carb diet and did not eat any breads for the past month and I felt great! My stomach pains, bloating, and constipation, and lethargy went away. As soon as I began introducing bread in small amounts back into my diet, I started to get the same symptoms again that I have had my whole life. I am thinking it is an allergy or intolerance. I have talked to my doctor in the past and she said to try an elimination diet to see what is bothering me…which I did.
Are there tests that say which it is?

After consuming gluten how long does it take before a rash occurs? Like a few hours, a few minutes, two days? i really have no idea.

not all people with gluten intolerance get rashes. There is a disease called Celiac Sprue that occurs when people are gluten intolerant that causes many symptoms but most are so vague that it is hard to pin point it to gluten.
With any allergy, each person is different in their reaction. I might break out in hives from something and you might just get a belly ache from the same thing. Lactose intolerant people get gassy and have diarrhea, milk allergy gets hives.

My son has elevated anti-gliadin antibodies. What causes our bodies to start reacting as if this food is an invader? I understand that gluten makes the intestinal walls more permiable, but what can we do to reverse this?

Genetic susceptibility to the illness.
A trigger, which could be one of:
- An environmental agent, probably a virus or other infection
- Stress
- Pregnancy
Possible exposure to gluten as a young baby before the gut barrier has developed fully. This association is currently under investigation

You could try viagra but I will tell ya what, that stuff sucks. The side effects are terrible. Have you ever tried a sexual enhancer? I was in your situation, like I said, viagra was tried but it wasn’t for me considering the side effects overwhelm the pleasures of it.
