I Have Nearly All the Symptoms of Celiac Disease Except for Weight Loss, Any Ideas?
ByQuestion by Grace J: I have nearly all the symptoms of celiac disease except for weight loss, any ideas?
I fear asking my Dr. about it because he already disbelieves that I was diagnosed with M.S. some 25 years ago ( my medical records from that time seem to have been destroyed, though I would guess Social Security still has them) Thanks for any help I could receive on this!

Maybe you have diabetes? If you are thirsty and you go to the bathroom a lot, that’s what it may be.

You can be gluten intolerant and not have celiac disease. I get terrible cramps, constipation and even hives, sneezing and congestion if I eat anything with wheat. So I avoid it and do much better within 48 hours. I eat rice pasta and other wheat substitutes and have been doing great for a year now. Good luck and just stay away from wheat and other things that have gluten. There are great websites out there you can search for that let you know what has gluten and other websites that have great gluten-free recipes.
The majority of people with celiac disease have a normal body mass index. One study showed 39% were overweight as opposed to underweight. If you have classic or atypical symptoms, then you should be checked. Go to this website to review your symptoms. http://bit.ly/at6fA5 If you have some and your doctor is no help, get the book Recognizing Celiac Disease. It will help you as it is helping thousands of others…even when doctors can’t. Multiple Sclerosis is listed and may be due to omega-3 fatty acid deficiency if celiac disease is the cause. MS is on page 201. Here is a link to the book http://bit.ly/RCD_About_3_9 It is on special through March 31st – $ 15 off.
